Opportunities From: Volunteer Santa Rosa County

The City of Milton has requested our support for its Fourth of July fireworks event. Assigned volunteers will provide first-aid assistance, support crowd and traffic management operations, and conduct roving patrols throughout the festivities to help promote a safe and well-coordinated event.

To simplify our signup process & get it in line with our other activities, we are moving our weekly Santa Rosa County Citizen Corps Net Control Station (NCS) signup to "Get Connected."  The net is every week at 1900 CT on the 146.700 K4SRC repeater.

Our team has been asked to volunteer at a first aid/water tent as well as pass out waters to first responders walking around the beach area.  The times will be 6A-7P Thursday through Saturday. Remember the traffic issues coming onto the beach, please plan accordingly. We can't split it up into shifts as once you are on the beach, there's no real way to get off.  Preference is for volunteers to have basic first aid/CPR training but the folks passing out water can get by without it.  A briefing will be held with the volunteers before the event via Zoom.  

CERT has been requested to assist the Bagdad Fire Department with parking and traffic management for its annual political rally. This event will include local and state candidates running for various offices.

CERT support has been requested to assist with traffic management for the 2026 National Night Out event. This year’s event will be held at the Clyde L. Gracey Community Center, located at 5629 Byrom Street in Milton.
